Barbie & Ken Finally Get Married!

"When this photo shoot landed in my inbox this week with the description “Barbie & Ken’s wedding” I thought oh christ…what’s this?! However I’ve got to say that as soon as I saw the photographs my initial scepticism and preconceptions were totally eradicated. I laughed as I looked at each photo, set up to show Barbie & Ken getting married and photographed in the way an actual wedding might be. The quality of the photos is totally brilliant – and there lies the hilarity."

This is a V-Day shout out to one of my favorite couples on the planet.
When true and lasting love seems like a myth to me, these two make me realize just the opposite. To Jessica and Christopher: thank you for setting the bar for me. I love you. Happy Hearts Day to two people always in my heart. <3

As some of you may know, I have recently returned from a truly EXTREME trip to Israel (with a detour in Zurich, Switzerland). In keeping in tune with what life-changing events include: We laughed, we cried, we got no sleep, we got extreme and ate alot, but in the end…it was all SABABA.
Here is teaser photo. A photo taken atop a mountain in the middle of the desert after a pitchblack-sunrise hike.
Stay tuned! More to come!

Passion Pit
Tonight, Tonight

Michael Angelakos and my beloved Passion Pit move me yet again with his version of The Smashing Pumpkin’s Tonight, Tonight

"Time is never time at all
You can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth
And our lives are forever changed
We will never be the same
The more you change the less you feel
Believe, believe in me, believe
That life can change, that you’re not stuck in vain
We’re not the same, we’re different tonight
Tonight, so bright
Tonight
And you know you’re never sure
But you’re sure you could be right
If you held yourself up to the light
And the embers never fade in your city by the lake
The place where you were born
Believe, believe in me, believe
In the resolute urgency of now
And if you believe there’s not a chance tonight
Tonight, so bright
Tonight
We’ll crucify the insincere tonight
We’ll make things right, we’ll feel it all tonight
We’ll find a way to offer up the night tonight
The indescribable moments of your life tonight
The impossible is possible tonight
Believe in me as I believe in you, tonight”
